Appellation: Vosne-Romanee AOP
Grape Variety: 100% Pinot Noir
Soil: Clay limestone
The village of Vosne-Romanée, in the heart of the Côte de Nuits, is composed of six fantastic Grands Crus such as “Romanée-Conti”, “La Tâche”, and “Richebourg”; as well as 12 areas classified as Premiers Crus. It benefits from a rather steep slope at altitudes varying between 240 and 340 m, and an easterly exposure.
Grapes purchased from “Basses Maizières”. Manual harvest. Aged in oak barrels, of which 30% are new.
Light ruby colour. The nose is subtle, with floral and delicately toasted notes. Finesse on the palate with a structured acidity and melted tannins.
This wine will reveal all of its finesse and power in the company of a tournedos “Rossini”, duck confit, lamb, breast of veal with soft spices, or with a lovely assortment of cheeses: Cîteaux, Roblochon, Mont-d’Or, Brie de Meaux…
Ideally at 15°C
