MAISON CHAMPY Chambolle-Musigny

ORIGIN
Appellation: Chambolle-Musigny AOP
Grape Variety: 100% Pinot Noir
Soil: Limestone

Vineyard
The limestone slopes rising from the valley of Chamboeuf give the Chambolle-Musigny vineyard the benefit of an easterly and south-easterly exposure. A quarter of the vineyard is classified as Premier Cru, and produces a majority of red wines. This wine comes from a selection of grapes of Les Condemenes lieu-dit.

WINEMAKING
Grapes purchased from “Les Condemennes”. Manual harvest. Aged in oak barrels, of which 50% are new.

TASING NOTES
A bright wine with a beautiful, deep, garnet colour and hints of purple. Good aromatic intensity, a fine, fresh nose. Opens on purple and red berries, which make up a bouquet of typical expression. Well defined on the palate and well-rounded, highly concentrated. The length is accompanied by soft tannins.

FOOD PARINGS
This wine will marvelously accompany dishes such as roasted chicken, blanquette de veau, fatted chicken in cream, grilled beef… as well as relatively soft cheese such as Vacherin, Brillat-Savarin, Cîteaux…
